Who goes door knocking?
« on: March 17, 2009, 11:11:33 PM »
who here actually goes and walk into random shops and give your resume? have you had any success, or is it just a waste of time, i heard that unless they are advertising, its a big waste of time AND paper lol, they just say 'okay we'll have a look at it, and throw it away'

i think every thing there is true. Just because u walk in there with your resume doesn't mean every boss is gonna think of this guy/girl has committment. Some do of course =D its more effective than sending it online i think.  :P

I have had better success, way better success applying for jobs walking into a store than applying online. Firstly its also the impression that you make to your employer and also your communication skills are on the line.

Hi There !!

I agree with David, applying for job in online is better, you can apply for more than one jobs and it is not so tedious task. Because we should search properly and get an apt job for us. :)
